Someone once said that he wished he knew then
All the things he knows now but where does that end?
There's no way to go back so why keep pretending?

Like listened in school or not shoplifted

A few drinks mean nothing, it's just calming my mind

But if I was honest I knew I'd crossed the line
Maybe I could have done all this years before
But at least I've not waited idle for years more
There's no better feeling than truly resigning free
From my old attempts to control the world all around me

Or I projected that at least, anyway

And the future ain't what it used to be
But it's clearer now than it's ever been
